A great piece of lunar art
This booklet is a true work of art that every lunar observer should own. On 48 pages it features 16 lunar mare, all illustrated with wonderful drawings made by a
skilled visual observer. Even if you can‘t read the French text the atlas is a nice resource to browse through: every drawing of a lunar feature is accompanied by
illustrations that indicate its location on the moon and the best phase to observe it. The author of the book is Michel Deconinck, a French nuclear physicist and
amateur astronomer who has a passion for stargazing and drawing celestial marvels. His homepage shows some of his drawings, there is also a landing page where
the beautiful lunar atlas Petit atlas des mers lunaires can be ordered.
