Orion Constellation
For this photo we went out into the field in spite of the biting cold. But we had to go, since it had finally cleared up after endless weeks of cloud cover. While driving to the nearby observing site the sky was abundant with the most beautiful twilight colors. We set up during dusk and started the imaging run immediately after astronomical twilight had ended. Our EOS 1100Da with a 50mm Yashinon lens and an LPS-P2 was riding on a Skywatcher Star Adventurer, the 18 individual 240sec and 60sec subs were guided with a Staraid autoguider. The colors of the bright stars were enhanced with an additional shot using a diffuser filter. When we packed up three hours later all our equipment was covered with tiny ice crystals.
